East London Airport

This is a small airport, used by tourists. Only 15% of these are international tourists. It is growing very quickly together with the Eastern Cape economy. Lots of cargo flights carrying fruits to domestic and a few international destinations leave daily.

Make sure you see the Buffalo River and the double Decker Bridge over the Buffalo River that was completed in 1935. This is the only of it’s kind in South Africa. East London is very much associated with the Buffalo.
