George Airport

George is a small but busy domestic airport, halve way between Cape Town and Port Elizabeth, situated in the Garden Route, surrounded by mountains, beaches and forests. The Eastern Cape is home to the biggest waves, bungee from the highest bridge in the Southern Hemisphere, skiing on the only snow slope (the Southern Drakensberge) mountain in Africa and wild life parks. The Tsitsikamma national park known as “the place of much water” is beautiful and a must see.

Jeffreys Bay is the surfing capital of South Africa and a must visit if you love the water and surfing. The Eastern Cape also have the greatest beaches and the garden rout stretches from Port Elizabeth to Mosselbay. On the way you will experience nature and forests, you can even enjoy scuba diving, absailing, fishing and many more. Make sure you do this drive, it is worth seeing. If you want to visit a game park, make sure to go to the Shamwari Game Reserve. Between May and November you can do whale spotting from the high dunes.
