Pilanesberg Airport

This airport is situated in the Northern West province. The Magaliesberg mountain range is situated around ½ an hour from Johannesburg and is a haven for the city dwellers who wants to escape. Sun City was built 20 years ago “in the middle of nowhere”, in the homeland of Bophuthatswana when gambling was illegal under the apartheid’s government. The palace of the Lost City is now one of the most famous hotels in the world. Valley of the waves is a great attraction for the children. Let them swim while you enjoy the luxury casino surroundings.

Pilanesberg Game Reserve is next door to Sun City and you can take a big 5 game drive. The Pilanesberg mountain range exists because of a volcanic eruption, millions of years ago.

In the Limpopo province, you will find the Kruger National Park, only 2½ hours flight from Cape Town and 30 minutes from Johannesburg. You can also enjoy great golf courses and hot air ballooning. Why not visit Bela-Bela (known as Warmbath, because of the hot mineral springs). You can also do horse-back safari, hiking and even visit the rhino museum.
